Hamurana is famous for its beautiful crystal clear fresh water springs which emanate from the ground and flow downstream into Lake Rotorua. It is the deepest natural spring in the North Island of New Zealand.
At Hamurana Springs you will find a walking track which is suitable for all ages and levels of fitness. The relaxed walk could take you around 20mins one way.

The entire track is picturesque, running alongside the crisp waters of the stream and through a grove of Redwood trees. Many bird varieties make Hamurana Gardens their home.
When you reach the spring, you will see that eople throw coins into the water to see how far down they would go.
There is a bridge near the end of the walk which links up with an unsealed road on the other side of the river to create a loop track. |
